RF - IQ Demodulator Slide 8
In a certain variant of the wireless architecture, the Direct Conversion Architecture uses fewer blocks. The main difference is that the mixer block is missing after the Low Noise Amplifier (LNA). This means that there is no conversion from RF to IF (intermediate frequency), and hence, this architecture is also known as the Zero IF architecture. In this case, the received RF signal is directly demodulated by the demodulator and fed through the ADC drivers to the ADC.
