TMC5240 Stepper Motor Controller and Driver IC
Analog Devices' TMC5240 is a 36 V 2 ARMS+ smart integrated stepper driver and controller
ADI's TMC5240 is a smart high-performance stepper motor controller and driver IC with serial communication interfaces (SPI, UART) and extensive diagnosis capabilities. It combines a flexible, jerk-optimized ramp generator for automatic target positioning with an advanced stepper motor driver based on the 256 µStep built-in indexer and two fully integrated 36 V, 3.0 A (max) H-bridges plus non-dissipative integrated current sensing (ICS).
ADI Trinamic's sophisticated StealthChop2™ chopper ensures absolutely noiseless operation combined with maximum efficiency and excellent motor torque. High integration, high energy efficiency, and a small form factor enable miniaturized and scalable systems for cost-effective solutions. The complete solution minimizes the learning curve while providing superior performance.
