Image of Broadcom Semiconductor's ACNU-250L 1 MBd Optocoupler Device Broadcom Semiconductor's ACNU-250L is a single-channel 1 MBd optocoupler device in an 11 mm stretched SO8 footprint. The device is equipped with an insulating layer between the light-emitting diode and an integrated photon detector to provide electrical insulation between the input and output. Having separate connections for the photodiode bias and output transistor collector reduces the base-collector capacitance and enhances the data speed up to a hundred times compared to a conventional photo-transistor coupler.

ACNU-250L is suitable for isolated communication logic interface and control in high-voltage power systems, space-constrained industrial applications, renewable inverters, and medical equipment. This package platform features wide 11 mm creepage and 10.5 mm clearance, high insulation voltage of VIORM = 1414 VPEAK, and a compact footprint, which is is an upgrade and 40% smaller to the popular HCNW/ACNW in 400 mil DIP-8 package.
