The IC can drive external high-side N-channel MOSFETs, providing high-accuracy detection at overcharge and overcurrent and a high-accuracy charge inhibition for a 0 V battery. The R5449 IC can reduce the supply current to a minimum after overdischarge detection by turning off the internal circuits. The additional CTL pin can force the IC into standby mode.
