The 3M™ Power Clamp Header Connector is attached to the edge of the printed circuit board at the front or rear panel. Single unit 5-position or stacked 10-position modules are offered to better manage available board real estate. Both are available in straight and right angle positions. Solder tabs provide additional anchorage on the printed circuit board, helping to reduce stress on the solder joints of the contact tails. On the mating side, 0.5 μm gold plated copper alloy contacts offer a good combination of wear resistance and electrical performance. Polarization features – Type A or B connectors – help reduce the risk of damage to the PCB-mounted connectors from being attached the wrong way around to mating wiremount connectors.
