The GMOV™ hybrid overvoltage component has two key clamping characteristics: front protection level and clamping voltage, and it is defined by their combination. Front protection level describes the very short duration it takes for the GDT to turn on under a transient condition. Clamping voltage describes the condition where both the GDT and MOV are in their fully conductive states.
