Over the years there have been many changes in the limit switch market. Those trends can affect the products used in an application, drive new applications and create the need for a new switch designs. There has been a continued increase in demand for safe equipment. As equipment changes and becomes more advanced the more requirements for redundant circuits and safety stops. There are more mandatory safety standards being introduced to the industry. There is a trend towards smaller equipment which requires a smaller footprint switch. Smaller size and cost decrease typically can go hand in hand. As the customer becomes more global, they are seeking global suppliers that can provide local support for sales, purchasing and application assistance. As the industry changes, Honeywell must also change and continue to provide products which meet the market demands.
