All Altera Enpirion^® PowerSoCs have LTSPICE^® simulation models available. LTSPICE has become the de facto standard simulator for power electronic design engineers and outperforms most “pay-for” circuit simulation options. The free downloadable software allows for an unlimited number of nodes, has a schematic and symbol editor, a waveform viewer, a library of passive devices and also serves as an excellent schematic capture tool. LTSPICE provides fast simulation of Switch Mode Power Supplies, and has many simulation and advanced analysis options such as steady state detection, turn on transients, load transient response, output ripple, and efficiency computations.
