As mentioned earlier, the lateral expanding rivets on each side of the connector allow the part to be locked onto the board, along with providing other means of mechanical stability. Both the SDC 2.5 and SDDC 1.5 connectors have been tested to, and passed, IEC 60068-2-6, with an acceleration of 5 g‘s in 3 axes. Additionally, the parts have been tested to, and passed, shock resistance testing per IEC 60068-2-27. All of the parts in the series carry UL component recognition and VDE approval, according to DIN EN 61984. Finally, for potential application in household appliances like refrigerators or washing machines, the SDC 2.5 and SDDC 1.5 product lines conform to the household appliance standard DIN EN 60335-1.
