In summary, the HM78D-1210 coupled inductors are extremely versatile in that they can be utilized as a power inductor, a dual inductor, a 1:1 turns ratio transformer or as an autotransformer. One of the most common applications is a high current power inductor in a buck or boost converter. Another application is a (SEPIC) using a boost controller, a ZETA converter using a buck controller or a dual voltage output buck converter. Other applications include a coupled inductor in a two-port filter and as an autotransformer where isolation is not required.
