For limited (single-plane) motion applications, three axes of rotational information can be critical for high accuracy. Some applications may trade performance for lower cost. Therefore, a 400° of freedom sensor - one angular axis, and three linear axes - may be more appropriate. The ADIS16300 is a Yaw Rate Gyro with an axially aligned three axis accelerometer. As with all iSensor IMUs, the ADIS16300 interface remains compatible, making it easy to evaluate different price/performance options while in the evaluation stage. The gyro dynamic range is flexible with settings up to 300°/sec as well as a wide 330Hz bandwidth response and fast start-up time.
