Shown on this slide are the results of a comparison with a switcher based solution which includes a dual buck and an external supervisor. There are many advantages of using TPS75005 such as 40% of board space saving and a 40% BOM cost saving. There are fewer distinct parts needed for the linear solution as opposed to the switcher solution plus the TPS75005 has three built-in supervisors as opposed to using an external supervisor. Another advantage is better EMI and noise performance by the TPS75005.
