Gap Range

All Thermal Gap Pads have standard available thicknesses and a range of gaps that each material type can accommodate. In this table, given a customer’s gap range at the top, the designer can attempt to narrow down the material options to fit the customer’s need. Once the designer has narrowed down the Gap Pad material choice based on the customer’s gap range, the designer will need to be sure that the Gap Pad’s compression percentage range is also met. Some Gap Pads have limited compression ranges, like the 900 series materials.
