C16 Series Ultra-Miniature Crystal Unit
Aker Technology’s ultra-miniature crystal units are also available in automotive-grade
Aker Technology offers a low-profile, surface-mount device (SMD) with a frequency range of 24 MHz to 60 MHz and a frequency tolerance of up to ±10 ppm. The C16 series is ideal for use in wireless communications applications.
This four-pad SMD measures just 1.6 mm x 1.2 mm x 0.4 mm and offers an extended operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C. Its seam-sealed ceramic metal construction helps reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI) effects between the package and the lid.
The C16 series delivers tolerances as tight as ±10 ppm. It has a frequency stability range from ±20 ppm to ±100 ppm. Other specifications include aging of ± 3 ppm maximum per year, a maximum drive level 100 µW, and insulation resistance of 500 MΩ at 100 VDC ± 15 VDC.
An automotive-grade C16 version is also available. AEC-Q200 qualified and certified to IATF-16949 specifications, the crystal is ideal for EV onboard chargers (OBC) as well as camera and tire-pressure monitoring systems (TPMS) applications.
Built on Aker’s principles of flexible, high-quality manufacturing, the C16 can cost-effectively be delivered in small quantities with short turnaround and lead times. The C16 comes in tape-and-reel packaging.
