BH2450T-C Lightweight LCP Base Battery Holder

MPD’s expands its line of lithium battery holders with the addition of a holder for CR2450 coin cell batteries. CR2450 batteries typically offer 550 mAh instead of the 200 mAh from a standard CR2032 battery. Five hundred fifty (550) mAh is about the same amount of power as a 9 V battery offers but in a smaller size and with the ever popular 3 V output. It also accepts DL2450, ECR2450, and BR2450 lithium coin cell batteries.

MPD's BH2450T-C lithium coin cell battery holder features higher reliability and a more modern appearance than legacy coin cell battery holders. A height of 7.7 mm above the PCB gives the holder a lower profile than other competing products.

Its single-pressure nickel-plated phosphor bronze positive contact offers low electrical resistance and keeps a tight connection with the lithium battery. The battery is effortlessly changed without tools or instructions due to the intuitive design of the easy in-and-out shape.

The lightweight LCP base piece of the holder is extremely strong and can easily withstand temperatures of +260°C for modern, lead-free reflow soldering. LCP replicates metal by offering a tensile strength and modulus close to aluminum. Additionally, the LCP has excellent chemical resistance and can withstand repeated sterilizations by standard methods used in medical device assembly, including gamma and electron beam, ethylene oxide, and hot steam or hot air processes. The LCP used is also free of halogen, PFOS, and PFOA. It is REACH SVHC, RoHS 3, and WEEE compliant, meaning these holders meet current global environmental regulations.
