Image of RESI's Trimming Free™ Technology Alloy Current SensorRESI's alloy current sensor uses Trimming-Free technology to achieve a very tight tolerance of ±0.5% without the trimming process. The technology eliminates the loss of the rated current and hotspot issues, greatly improving the reliability of the product and ensuring a very low EMF. The sensor is available in sizes including 2512, 3920, and 5930, and values ranging from 0.5 mΩ to 3 mΩ. The sensor is composed of various types of metal alloys using EB-welding technology. The alloy treatment quality has a critical influence on the key performances of the final product, including TCR, long-term stability, and consistency. After the alloy treatment, RESI does the critical EB-welding manufacturing process, instead of third-party vendors. The current sensor is designed for applications including automotive, electric tools, precision measurement equipment, sorting and the formation of Lithium Ion batteries, and more.

The excellent consistency of metal alloy and the efficient welding process enables the device to achieve a tight tolerance of up to ±0.5% without trimming. From a capacity perspective, the trimming process is often a bottleneck, but the Trimming-Free technology benefits RESI by supporting large quantities in a shorter lead time. From a visual performance perspective, the Trimming-Free current-sensing resistor is superior to the trimmed resistor. RESI's current-sensing resistors comply with the AEC-Q200 qualification.
