MAX30101 Pulse Oximeter and Heart Rate Sensor

Analog Devices' MAX30101 is an integrated pulse oximetry and heart-rate monitor module with internal LEDs, photodetectors, optical elements, and low-noise electronics with ambient light rejection. It provides a complete system solution to ease the design-in process for mobile, fitness, and medical wearable devices.

The MAX30101 operates on a single 1.8 V power supply with a separate 5.0 V power supply for the internal LEDs. Communication is through a standard I²C, making integration easy. This module can be shut down through software with zero standby current, allowing the power rails to remain powered at all times.

The MAX30101 comes in a tiny 5.6 mm x 3.3 mm x 1.55 mm, 14-pin optical module. The module has an integrated cover glass for optimal and robust performance. It has an operating temperature of -40°C to +85°C.
