Hybrid vehicles are a major focus, from metro cars to high power electric trucks. One example, shown here, is a single bus design that can have a number of customer configurations, the most common being hybrid electric motors for pulling away, and gas engine for steady cruise that achieves the same mileage as a diesel. Ancillary systems also include regenerative breaking. Whatever the configuration, the FF family is common to all Propulsion Control System designs.
